Heidi Crooks, R.N., M.A.

Care Services
UCLA Medical Center
Heidi Crooks is the chief nursing officer and senior associate director of operations and patient care services at UCLA Medical Center, and assistant dean at the UCLA School of Nursing.
Crooks is responsible for 3,000 full-time employees and an operating budget in excess of $300 million. She oversees patient care services at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital, Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA and Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA.
Before coming to UCLA, Crooks was vice president of nursing at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago and assistant administrator and director of nursing at St. John’s Hospital in Oxnard, Calif.
Crooks is a graduate of the Helsinki Swedish College of Nursing in Helsinki, Finland, and she received her M.A. in public health and healthcare administration and nursing administration from the University of Washington School of Nursing in Seattle, Wash.
