UC-CNA Bargaining Update August 11-12

UC continued reopener negotiations with the California Nurses Association August 11-12 at San Francisco Medical Center. 

At this second meeting of the two parties, the University and CNA focused on issues related to staffing and ground rules.   The University’s primary goal was to gain a full understanding of the union’s proposal and the concerns that UC nurses may have regarding staffing and meals/breaks.  

No new proposals were exchanged.

At the next bargaining session the parties will consider a number of issues, with a focus on benefits.

The next session will be held in Irvine on August 19-21.
